  • Do I need a ticket to spectate?
If you are joining us for the day to watch the spectators, enjoy the activities available or eat and drink for the day - you do not need a ticket. If you are planning on staying with us for the evening's events - you will need a ticket. Tickets are required for access after 6pm, without a ticket the bar and food vendors will be unable to serve you and entry will not be permitted.
  • Can I bring my own drinks?
Unfortunately due to our licensing and health and safety, you will not be permitted to bring in your own drinks in the evening. Security will be searching attendees for glass/alcohol and illegal substances.
  • Where is the event being held?
We've moved! If you didn't know, historically, we have been based in Cross in Hand, East Sussex. This is a HUGE jump for PIUPID and one we know will drive us moving forward in the way of providing you, the athletes, spectators, party goers, dance floor athletes and everyone in between, a real experience of what PIUPID is all about. This is our new venue: South of England Event Centre South of England Showground Selsfield Road Ardingly West Sussex RH17 6TL
  • What time will the event begin?
8am - The day begins. With athletes competing until the finals (4:30pm) – we’ll keep you fed and hydrated with a fully stocked PIUPID Bar ‘The Barbell’, Local Street food vendors and fitness orientated activities to entertain you between heats! 5pm-6pm - Happy Hour! – claim your spot on the Barbell as we rush for Pints of Pow and cocktails of sun and liquor. 6pm onwards - You’ll need an Evening ticket as our Live music will launch the evening into a party of post workout heroes and summer loving attendees! Athletes, your passes also grant you access to the Evening party.
  • What can I expect from the competition?
The PIUPID Games takes another step forward this year, with athletes getting challenged with TWO workouts throughout the day. You can expect the format of these workouts to be between 5-20 minutes long, and involving a mixture of functional movements including and not limited to; barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, boxes, rowers, bikes etc. The games format typically gets released less than a month before the day.
  • What if I need a partner to compete with?
In the PAIRS EVENT, athletes will compete in MIXED PAIRS. If you don't have a partner, we’ll pair you up! When booking your ticket, just let us know you'd like us to do this for you!
  • Do I need to be an elite athlete to compete?
NO! In our efforts to maximise inclusivity, while challenging more experienced athletes, this year we ask competitors in the PAIRS event – if they would like to compete as; RX’d or SCALED athletes. This means EVERYONE from advanced to new – has the opportunity to experience and compete in the electric atmosphere of the PIUPID GAMES.
  • Will there be a TEAM event this year?
With the success of our 2019 Event, 2021 also sees the return of the PIUPID TEAM event! Teams are mixed; two males and two females. You’ll have to complete two workouts as your team – with both workouts going towards your final score and earning you a spot in the final!
  • Who will be judging the event?
We have had tremendous feedback from athletes and attendees, and one of the areas we have built upon is in our judging standards. This year – we will be enrolling 50% of our judges through official Judging certifications to ensure that every lane, heat and athlete has a certified judge to maintain consistency and fairness.
